After stints on the Hapag Lloyd cruise ship MS Europa and in Austria, Christian Wilhelm worked five years in “The Regent Hotel Berlin, the Restaurant “Fischers Fritz”.
In 2010, Wilhelm was selected from 15 gourmet critics to the “Berlin Sommelier of the Year”.
Since 2011, he strengthened the team as a sommelier at the gourmet restaurant FALCO in the 27th The floor of the Westin. Christian Wilhelm sees his passion in classical European Wines.
The glass walk-in wine cabinet forms the centrepiece of the restaurant:
not just because of its impressive appearance but more importantly of course because of the 1.000 positions which are stored there. Classics from Bordeaux, indigenous grapes from Italy, modern vinifications from emergent Spain and, naturally, top wines from Austria complete the wide range of German wines listed.
Riesling lovers especially can take their pick out of an embarrassment of riches amongst the German wines as nearly 450 positions bear witness to our passion for this grape.
However, leaving personal preferences aside, one can be sure that we have the appropriate wine for all occasions.
